Kingston (formerly Apple Tree Cove) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,611 at the 2000 United States Census census. Kingston is along the shores of Apple Tree Cove and the Puget Sound, and is home to a major Washington State Ferries terminal linking it to Edmonds, Washington Kingston's schools include Kingston Co-op Preschool, Gordon Elementary, Kingston Middle School, Spectrum Community School, Wolfle Elementary and the new Kingston High School (Kingston, Washington) High School which opened in September 2007.In current analysis, 8% of people in Kingston, Washington have friends checking out made to prepare their home for sale.As of the census of 2000, there were 1,611 people, 685 households, and 452 families residing in the CDP.
