Tooele ( or ) is a city in Tooele County, Utah County in the U.S. state of Utah. It is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Lake City, Utah Salt Lake City metropolitan area Statistical Area. The population was 22,502 at the United States Census, 2000 census. It is the county seat of Tooele County, Utah County. The city is well known for Tooele Army Depot, privately-owned waste-disposal facilities west of Tooele Valley, and Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility a government-owned chemical weapons incinerator south of Tooele Valley.In latest estimates, 4% of people in Tooele, Utah have considered looking into vinyl replacement windows reduce their energy bills.As of the census of 2000, there were 22,502 people, 7,459 households, and 5,825 families residing in the city.
