San Marcos is located on the Interstate 35 (Texas) 35 corridor, between Austin, Texas and San Antonio, Texas Antonio.In a recent survey, 17% of people in San Marcos, Texas are interested in spruce up their home.As of the census of 2000, there were 34,733 people, 12,660 households, and 5,380 families residing in the city.
