Belle Fourche (pronounced "Bell Foosh") is a city in and the county seat of Butte County, South Dakota County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 4,565 at the United States Census, 2000 census. Belle Fourche is the site of the geographic center of the United States.In a study just performed, 14% of people in Belle Fourche, South Dakota are interested in new windows made to spruce up their home.As of the census of 2000, there were 4,565 people, 1,854 households, and 1,186 families residing in the city.
