Cuyahoga Falls is a city in Summit County, Ohio County, Ohio, United States. As of the United States Census, 2000 census, the city population was 49,374. It is currently the second largest city in Summit County. It is a suburb of Akron, Ohio and Cleveland, Ohio and part of the Akron Akron metropolitan area Statistical Area and the Greater Cleveland Combined Statistical Area. Actually older than Akron, the city was founded in 1812 by William Wetmore and was originally named Manchester. Cuyahoga Falls is named after the Cuyahoga River (which flows into Lake Erie) and the series of falls that run through the middle of the city.In recent research, 7% of people in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio are interested in designed to prepare their home for sale.As of the census of 2000, there were 49,374 people, 21,655 households, and 13,317 families residing in the city.
