Hastings is a city in and the county seat of Adams County, Nebraska County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 24,064 at the 2000 United States Census census. It is the county seat of Adams County, Nebraska County . Hastings is home to Hastings College, a four-year liberal arts college founded in 1882.
