Imperial is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Missouri County, Missouri, United States. The population was 4,373 at the 2000 census. It was originally known as West Kimmswick, Missouri and is roughly 25 driving minutes south of St. Louis. St. John's Church (Missouri) John's Church is a historic parish church located within Imperial.In a new poll, 11% of people in Imperial, Missouri have friends checking out replacement windows made to reduce their energy bills.As of the census of 2000, there were 4,373 people, 1,634 households, and 1,228 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 812.4 people per square mile (313.8/km²). There were 1,720 housing units at an average density of 319.5/sq mi (123.4/km²).
