Wyandotte is a city in Wayne County, Michigan County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 28,006 at the United States Census, 2000 census. The Population percent change from 1990 to 2000 was a -9.0% showing a slightly decreasing population. Wyandotte is located in the southeastern Lower Peninsula of Michigan peninsula, approximately eleven miles south of Detroit on the Detroit River and is part of the collection of communities known as Downriver. Wyandotte is bounded by Southgate, Michigan (west), Lincoln Park, Michigan Park (northwest), Riverview, Michigan (south) and Ecorse, Michigan (north).In current analysis, 6% of people in Wyandotte, Michigan are interested in new windows designed to reduce their energy bills.As of the census of 2000, there were 28,006 people, 11,816 households, and 7,420 families residing in the city.
