Dracut is primarily a suburban community, belonging to Greater Lowell and bordering southern New Hampshire. Additionally, it is in the northern portion of the Greater Boston metro area, and geographically part of the Merrimack Valley.In a new poll, 11% of people in Dracut, Massachusetts have friends checking out made to spruce up their home.As of the census of 2000, there were 28,562 people, 10,451 households, and 7,733 families residing in the town.
