Manhattan is a city in Pottawatomie County, Kansas and Riley County, Kansas counties in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Kansas. Located at the junction of the Big Blue River (Kansas) Blue and Kansas River rivers, the city is the county seat of Riley County. As of the July 2007 census estimate, its population was 51,707, making it the eighth-largest city in Kansas. It is the principal city of the Manhattan, Kansas Manhattan metropolitan area Statistical Area – with an estimated population of 113,629, the Manhattan MSA surpasses that of Lawrence, Kansas, making it the Kansas census statistical areas largest metropolitan area in the state.In a study just performed, 5% of people in Manhattan, Kansas have considered looking into new windows designed to prepare their home for sale.
