Rushville is a city in Rushville Township, Rush County, Indiana Township, Rush County, Indiana County, Indiana, United States. The population was 5,995 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Rush County, Indiana County . It was the campaign headquarters for Wendell Willkie Willkie's 1940 presidential campaign against Franklin Delano Roosevelt D. Roosevelt. Willkie is buried in the city's East Hill Cemetery.
