McCall is a resort city on the western edge of Valley County, Idaho County, Idaho, United States. Named after its founder, Tom McCall, it is situated on the southern shore of Payette Lake, near the center of the Payette National Forest. McCall is approximately 100 miles (160 km) north of Boise, Idaho accessed via the Payette River Scenic Byway (Idaho State Highway 55 Highway 55). The population was 2,084 at the 2000 United States Census census.In a study just performed, 9% of people in McCall, Idaho have friends checking out replacement windows spruce up their home.As of the census of 2000, there were 2,084 people, 902 households, and 549 families residing in the city.
