Originally a stop on the Louisville & Nashville railroad line, Woodstock is now considered part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. It is now the tenth fastest growing suburb in the US with an estimated population of 21,482 in 2006.In latest estimates, 21% of people in Woodstock, Georgia have considered looking into made to reduce their energy bills.As of the census of 2000, there were 10,050 people, 3,869 households, and 2,627 families residing in the city.
