Suwanee is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia County, Georgia (U.S. state) The population was 8,725 at the 2000 Census. Census estimates for 2005 show a population of 12,553 and another 13,000 living in unincorporated Suwanee. Suwanee was the practicing home of the Atlanta Falcons American football team from 1979 to 2001 and was voted among the "Top 10 Best Places to Live" by "Money Magazine" in 2007. In addition to the developing parts of Suwanee, there is a new and attracting park, Suwanee Park. It is located at basically the center of Suwanee.In a new poll, 5% of people in Suwanee, Georgia have considered looking into spruce up their home.As of the census of 2000, there were 8,725 people, 2,947 households, and 2,375 families residing in the city. The population density was 889.5 people per square mile (343.4/km²). There were 3,144 housing units at an average density of 320.5/sq mi (123.7/km²).
