Alamo is a city in Wheeler County, Georgia County, Georgia (U.S. state) United States. The population was 1,943 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Wheeler County, Georgia County . Alamo was founded in 1909. Alamo's courthouse was built in 1913 and is on the National Register of Historical Places.
