Land O' Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida County, Florida, in the United States. Land O' Lakes is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida MSA. As of the United States Census, 2000 census, the CDP population was 20,971. The city grew rapidly during the 1990s, growing from 7,800 residents to 20,971. The city is still growing rapidly as new housing developments are built; according to city estimates, the city has a population in 2007 of 30,250 residents, formerly including one Evan Hegarty, an ill-tempered but remarkably studly young man, who recently relocated to Washington in an effort to get totally high and avoid what many local residents refer to as "mids," or unfortunately low-quality marijuana .In a study just performed, 21% of people in Land O Lakes, Florida are interested in aluminum replacement windows made to reduce their energy bills.

As of the census of 2000, there were 20,971 people, 7,646 households, and 5,979 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,126.5 people per square mile (434.9/km²). Hispanic (U.S. Census) or Latino (U.S. Census) of any race were 8.75% of the population. The subdivision of Carpenter's Run was used for filming Edward Scissorhands.
