New Milford (incorporated 1712) is a New England town in Litchfield County, Connecticut County, Connecticut, United States north of Danbury, Connecticut on the Housatonic River. The real-life home of "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House Blanding's Dream House" New Milford has also been a shooting location for many motion picture and television productions. It is the largest town in the state in terms of land area at nearly .
