Decatur is a city in Limestone County, Alabama and Morgan County, Alabama Counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The city, known as "The River City", is located in North Alabama Alabama on the banks of Wheeler Lake, along the Tennessee River. It is the largest city and county seat of Morgan County. Decatur experiences a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and a generally mild winter. Temperatures range from 89 °F (31.6 C) in the summer to 49.0 °F (9.4 C) during winter.
